Abstract

This book comes principally from a series of lectures that I delivered at the University of Mexico in February 2013 as the first Cátedra Extraordinaria México-China. This program, graciously sponsored by the CECHIMEX Center in UNAM’s Department of Economics, is designed to promote a better understanding of China in Latin America and the Caribbean, especially in Mexico.
